Design for Manufacture

This is the stage whereby we take all the developed designs and prepare it for manufacturing.All aspects can be done at this stage:- tolerance checking; allowances for moulding or casting; final tweaking of the design for C of G issues or specifying fit and finish etc.This stage encompasses all manufacturing data to whatever scale or level that is required by your company. We can produce complete drawing packs to a very high standard.We recognise the importance of thorough checking and approval process when releasing drawings for manufacture or prototyping.At 3D Design and Model Detail Ltd we adhere toBS8888:2006 and ISO1101:2004 drawing standards.

Drawing standards are changing all the time and we keep up to date with this essential information.

We can also slot seamlessly into any company standards you may have in place and can either utilise our own drawing borders or any company specific ones.

General Assembly drawings, Bills of materials and parts lists can also be included..

Concept Design

This is the ‘melting pot of ideas’ stage whereby we take the initial product idea and our expert engineers discuss/draw different variants of the model in question.With a selection of ideas from different experts the practicality of the end product can be investigated at concept stage.With our advanced rendering software, rapid prototypes can be made from our computer models and we can also prepare marketing presentations if required.This gives us the most effective, efficient and cost saving way of creating a product without fault.

Detailed Drawings

Here at 3D Design Model & Detail we can provide full packages of detailed drawings, this can be from either old micro filmed drawings, 2D paper drawings or native CAD models.

All drawing provided with follow BS8888:2006 and to ISO1101:2004.

Drawings can be supplied in any output format inc. dxf, dwg, dwf and pdf

2D – 3D Conversions

With 3D CAD systems becoming more and more common place more companies are moving over from 2D to 3D. At 3D Design Model and Detail Ltd we are able to convert all of your existing 2D or paper drawings into your specified 3D software.

With this service available it will make your transition into 3D less painful and time consuming.

3D CAD software advice and system set advice for your new investment is also available.

Photo Rendering

CAD renderings are a flexible and fast alternative to expensive appearance models, mock-up’s, prototypes and photography. We can render your designs in many different material and colour options, and produce new images at any time to exactly match the previous lighting set up.

Images can be supplied already cut out (without any background) for simple insertion into product catalogues and any other media.

Pro/Enginner & Creo configuration

At 3D design Model & detail Ltd we can aid the configuration of your ProEngineer or Creo setup to enhance user interface and ease of use.

We will work with your users to enhance the ease of use of your installation.

This will include the setting up of part libraries and quick access tool bars to make modelling and assembly functions seamless which will ensure correct library parts are used with ease.
